Short Paper Assignment

I want you to acquaint yourself with the strange and amazing world 
of Ubuweb, either on-line at http://www.ubu.com/ or by means of my 
Ubu-Offline 3-CDROM set. Then pick an artist and write a 5-6 page 
essay discussing his or her work. Please do as much background
research as is practical and provide some documentation of who 
this person is, what artistic schools or traditions might be 
relavant, and so on. It may be appropriate for you to provide some
multimedia adjuncts to your paper; please consult with me about 
technical questions you may have. The paper should serve as a concise 
overview of the artist and his/her work that would satisfy other 
members of the class as being informative and interesting. And ... 
you get to test that out! On the due date, I will give each student 
5-10 minutes to discuss the avant garde artist of choice. (You will 
need to work out equipment requirements with me beforehand.)

The paper should conform in all respects to the MLA documention
style.

Due 23 February by class time.
